LEWIS SHIELDS | DIRECTOR OF DARK OPS

'The Evolving European Cyber Threat Landscape & Threats to Executives'

The European cyber threat landscape has evolved dramatically in 2024, driven by increasingly sophisticated attack methodologies and underpinned by geopolitical conflicts. Executives, in particular, face heightened threats in this evolving landscape, as they are prime targets for cybercriminals aiming to compromise enterprise networks. From developing social engineering tactics to bypass security controls, surging ransomware and digital extortion incidents, and a burgeoning initial access broker marketplaces, it is now more important than ever that European-based organisations understand the threat landscape in its entirety.

Lewis Shields, Director of Dark Ops at ZeroFox will discuss key facets of the evolving cyber threat landscape, including how to proactively identify where your information is, how this could be leveraged against you, and how to mitigate these exposures. In a world of finite resources, active dark web actors, and amidst a rapidly evolving threat landscape, ZeroFox will highlight how a strategic approach to understanding threat intelligence is vital to protecting yourself against those that seek to do harm.

ALEX TURNER | SENIOR SOLUTIONS ENGINEER

'How do you effectively protect both users and their data in this new remote working world?'

People are working anywhere with data everywhere, requiring new approaches to traditional tools such as Web Security and DLP. It is essential to look into network re-architecture with a SASE model and understand how advance technologies such as behaviour analytics can help predict data loss. With increasing use of new technologies like Generative AI, the security and data problem is only growing. In this session Alex Turner will explain Forcepoint’s unique approach to SASE and Data Security Everywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a customer to attend a Security Social.exe Event?

No, you don't! Whilst we'd of course hope that one day you might be... Our events are to provide people with a platform to network and build a community of local based IT professionals where people can share challenges and advice for best practice.

I need to leave before the Stadium Tour, is that going to be okay?

Of course! Staying on for the Portman Road Stadium Tour is optional. We appreciate people have both work and personal commitments, which is why we'll aim to finish the event at 2.30pm to give our attendees the opportunity to leave before the tour starts shortly afterwards.

Can I bring a +1?

You are more than welcome to bring a +1 and attend with a colleague. Just please ask them to register so that we are able to track availability for the limited paid for seats available.
